John Joseph Sanfratello

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Sanfratello on February 3, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, John’s love and dedication to his family were at the center of his life.

John earned his degree in Accounting and Finance from Manhattan College and went on to become a respected CPA. Over the years, he held key leadership roles, including CFO, Executive Vice President, and Controller, making a lasting impact in every organization he served.

Beyond his professional achievements, John found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a keen mind and loved reading The Wall Street Journal, solving riddles and word games, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved family. His warmth, wisdom, and quick wit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John is survived by his parents, siblings, his loving wife, his son and daughter, seven cherished grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Higgins Funeral Home (113 Lake Rd, Congers, NY 10920) on Saturday, February 8th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. A burial will follow at Rockland Lake Cemetery from 11:15 to 11:30 AM.

John’s legacy of love, laughter, and integrity will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
