Lori Ann Throop

Lori Ann Throop (63) of New City, NY passed away peacefully on December 19, 2021 in Nyack Hospital after a short illness battling cancer. She was the daughter of Robert and Maureen Throop. She was born in Gloversville, NY and was raised in Johnstown and Woodstock, NY. Lori attended the Albany College of Pharmacy and graduated with a degree in Pharmacy. She worked as a pharmacist in many pharmacies in NY and was the founding pharmacist for Med-Wiz Solutions in Bardonia, NY.

Lori is survived by her mother, Maureen Throop, sister Lisa Levy and brother-in-Law Jeffrey, brother David Throop and sister-in-Law Wendy. She was the doting Aunt to 6 nieces and nephews, Michael Levy and his wife Jen Levy, Andrew Levy, Daniel Levy, Stephanie Levy, Connor Throop and Kylie Throop. She was well loved by all.

She was a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Aunt and friend to all. She was always willing to help anyone in need and continued to do so even while she was ill. Lori loved to craft and crochet. She made baby blankets for many of her friends and family. Each one was a work of art. Lori loved to travel and went to Europe and on several cruises. She was an avid photographer and loved to take photos of all her travels.

She was a true friend and loved one and will be sorely missed.

Service Wednesday morning 9:00am at Higgins Funeral Home Congers, NY. Interment will be at a later date at West Hill Cemetery Sherburne, NY.
