Louis Maiello

Louis A Maiello was born on June 20th 1931 in Bronx, NY. There he met and married his beautiful wife Florence whom he shared 67 wonderful years with. “ Lou” and his beloved wife Florence moved to Rockland County in 1971 where they raised their children Claire Marie and Vincent.

Lou was a proud Italian American business owner, boater, and self proclaimed cigar aficionado.

He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law Claire Marie and Charlie (Blaha), son, Vincent (deceased) sister in law Claire Mcloud, four grandchildren: Nicole, Charles, Danielle and Stephanie and six great grandchildren: Dylan, Christopher,Morgan, Mila,Stephen,and Sienna. His presence and warmth will be deeply missed.

After retiring he very much enjoyed the company and camaraderie at the blauvelt sons of Italy club . “Bocce Lou” could always be found at the club ready to play a match with club members that he always thought of as extended family members.

Services will be held at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers N.Y. on Tuesday December 30th between 4-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi in West Nyack on Wednesday December 31st at 10am.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to the Joseph Raso Hospice residence in New City N.Y.
