Mary Hensey

She is survived by her daughter and son, Lori (McLaughlin) and Robert, as well as her son-in-law, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Linda. She is also survived by her beloved six grandchildren: Nicole, Vanessa, Kristen, Joey, Luke, and Robert. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred. Mary loved little more than time with her family where she was the bonding force who brought laughter, joy, positivity, and silliness to every occasion.

Mary was loved deeply by both family and friends alike for her upbeat and friendly nature. Throughout each phase of her life, she met and maintained friendships as it was difficult not to be drawn to her bubbly and kind-hearted personality. To be around Mary was to feel at home. It was rare to spend time with her without laughing, receiving her gentle praise, and feeling as if everything was right in the world. Her decision to emphasize relationships with others over materialistic things will be what makes her presence sorely missed. Her decision to live simply made her impact larger than life.

Mary’s Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5th at Higgins Funeral Home; 113 Lake Rd, Congers, NY 10920. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:30 AM at St. Paul’s; 82 Lake Rd, Congers, NY 10920, followed by a burial at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY.
