Matthew Winn

Affectionately known as Matty, He is survived by his children, Matthew Winn, Scott Winn, Amanda Johnson (Winn), and Jesse Winn, as well as his brother, Thomas Winn. Matty was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Rebecca, Alyssa, Janie, Logan, Ryleigh, Layla, and Kinsley and a great-grandfather to Eli. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 32 years, Anita, whom he adored. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family who brought him endless pride and happiness.

Born on June 12, 1944, in Suffern, NY, to Marie and Matthew Winn, Matty grew up with a strong work ethic and an even bigger heart. On March 17, 1984, he married the love of his life, Anita, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. He owned and operated Winn’s Dairy Inc. in Haverstraw, NY, working as a milkman and becoming a familiar and friendly face in the community. He had a gift for conversation and was always ready for a chat with neighbors, whether delivering milk or tending to his meticulously cared-for yard. Matty took immense pride in his home, pouring his heart into every flowerbed and blade of grass, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.

As per his wishes, there will be no public funeral or service. Matty’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Lift a glass in his honor- if you know, you know.
