Michael L. Travaglini

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Michael L. Travaglini announce his passing on May 16, 2025.

Michael was born at Nyack Hospital on February 20, 1954 to Joseph J. and Kathryn F. (Prato) Travaglini. He graduated from Nyack High School in 1972.

Michael loved the outdoors, especially the cabin he helped build in the Adirondacks where many Fall weekends were spent with his brothers, cousins and friends. Michael was a true animal lover, a collector of memorabilia, especially baseball cards, Hess trucks and anything John Wayne and Star Trek. Michael was also an excellent cook. He was an Honorary member of the Congers Volunteer Fire Dept.

Michael owned and worked at both family businesses, The Last Chance Saloon in Congers, NY and Travcon Inc. in Valley Cottage, NY.

Michael leaves behind his brother, Vincent J. Travaglini and sister, Natalie Travaglini Crema. His brother-in-law, Robert Crema Sr., Sister-in-law, Nancy Travaglini, nephew, Joseph Travaglini, niece Lauren Travaglini and her husband, Scott Brown. He also leaves behind his long-time partner, Claudia Benoit and his two furbabies.

Michael was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence D. Travaglini.

Michael, may you rest in eternal peace. You will be missed by all who, knew and loved you.

Services for Michael will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Higgins Funeral Home, 113 Lake Road, Congers, NY 10920. Hours will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 82 Lake Road, Congers, NY 10920. Burial services will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake, NY.
