Patrick Francis Hyland, 89, died peacefully at Nyack Hospital on January 28, 2012. He was born in Country Mayo, Ireland on April 1, 1922 to James and Anne Hyland. He moved to New York where he worked as a frame man for New York Telephone for over 30 years. In 1955 he married the love of his life, Margaret Carney and they were married until her death in 1994. He is survived by his sons, James, wife Patricia, and Kevin and his daughter-in-law Pamela. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Kristen, Sean and Megan. He is also survived by four siblings, Mary, James, Anne and William. He was predeceased by his son John as well as siblings John-Joe, Agnes and Margaret.
Visitation will be on Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Chapel in Sparkill, NY Tuesday morning. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Dowling Gardens for the exceptional support and care given to Patrick over the past three years.
