Steven William Dauksza (Doxa), 27, of Congers, NY died April 1, 2018. He was born November 1, 1990 in Suffern, NY, and was the son of Suzanne M. Cohen and William A. Dauksza. He attended Clarkstown Schools and graduated from Clarkstown High School North in 2008. He graduated from Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Exton, PA in 2010, was a Diesel Mechanic, and owned his own shop, Doxa’s Diesels. Steven had a smile that would light up a room and an infectious laugh that everyone loved. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and countless friends. He was always willing to help at any time of day or night, and you could always count on him to be there. He enjoyed taking long weekend trips riding with his brothers and friends. Steven is survived by his parents Suzanne Cohen and her husband Larry Cohen; and William Dauksza and his wife Barbara McDuffie; his brothers, Matthew Dauksza and wife Jessica Dauksza; Robert Dauksza and his fiancé, Victoria Como; Alex Dauksza, and Daniel Cohen.
He also leaves his grandparents, Lorraine Morrison-Klecar, Anton Klecar, and William and Julie Dauksza of Rockland County as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in Congers. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 5th from 7-9pm and Friday, April 6th from 4-8pm. The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00am at Saint Paul’s church in Congers with burial to follow at Gethsemane cemetery.
