It doesn’t feel real that you’re gone, Steve. I still hear your laugh and your voice in my head. I can’t stop replaying all of the memories I have of us all growing up together, and I see your smile and your eyes every time I close mine. I was thinking of you this past Thursday, about the time we tried to ride up and over a tree at Grandpas in Virginia- I was scared and you told me to just not let go of you- we ended up just driving up (but not over) the tree and I remember holding on to your waist just dangling for a second not letting go and then we rolled back down that very flexible, apparently not so little tree and being totally fine and we just looked at each other and started cracking up. I miss you so much already and I really cannot believe you’re gone 😢 I love you Steve, and I know you’ll always be with me in my heart. 💚
ps. Cassy and I adopted some penguins for you- it was her idea entirely, but I thought you’d want a little flock or pod or whatever a squad of penguins is called 😛.
I love you Steve, Rest In Peace and find a beautiful cloud in heaven for yourself (and make sure pets are allowed on this cloud, as you are the father of some Emperor Penguins in Antarctica who will eventually meet you up there 🇦🇶) 💚
