William A. Biles

William A. Biles of Valley Cottage, NY, 88 years old, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2016. Bill was born in London, England on May 24th, 1928 where he grew up during WWII. He moved to the USA in 1951 where he met his wife Patricia Ann Clowry and they were married on November 7, 1954. Bill worked for Gestetner Corporation in Yonkers , N.Y. for 50 years. Upon his retirement, he became a Park Ranger at Nyack State Park for 22 years. He has touched many people along his journey.

He is survived by his three daughters Kathleen Laverty (Dennis), Susan Majka (Rick) and Diane Smith (Ken) and one son William T. (Joanne). He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Patricia, Rory and Kerri Laverty, Ian and Emma Biles, David (Jennifer), Kevin and Jillian Majka, and Caitlin and Kiera Smith. He was predeceased by his loving wife Patricia (Clowry) and Grandson Jonathan Biles. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-7 pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, 10am, St. Paul’s Church, Congers, followed by interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joe Raso Hospice Residence, 415 Buena Vista Road, New City, NY 10956.
