I met him in 1st grade. Fayette central. We became buddies for a year or 2. We moved away. Nex met him when schools consolidated. Around 1965? We were still buddies. Life goes on about. 1983 I was freshly divorced started drinking would see him from time to time. Sometimes we may drink in a talk 1 on 1. Or in the crowd. Sometimes we would just nod and go on. After I unofficially quit drinking we saw each other I was home. He worked for the county. He would stop by from time maybe for a minute maybe for a half hour. Talking. I feel we were friends. The only cross we ever had was over a vet. Funny I'm a vet. But he was right. I just realized that our families are intertwined offer us I feel for all who reads this because you care. Ronny probably knows a little about it because we were part time drinking buddies at one time. I pretty much know of a lot of you. And wish all well. Hope to see you all Sunday but all in all Bobby Joe was a pretty good feller.

I am saddened by the death of Bobby Joe. I knew him for 30+years. A quality person and a hard-working man. His tenure at the Highway Department was noted and in my opinion one of the best department employees ever. Bobby Joe will be missed by all that loved him.

With respect,
