Upsetting to hear that Dennis passed. I didn't hear about till Friday, and was to late to go say goodbye. He & I were born on the same day..shared a few classes together, and shared our love of The Beatles. He would honk, and I'd go out and chat a minute, whenever he was plowing snow on my road.
Rock On, old friend !!

I met DB through his nephew, John Carlton. I was just a teenager. Ignorant of many things. DB turned me on to Frank Zappa, Monty Python and opened my mind. One of the driving forces in my Fatherless life, he instilled in me a desire to learn, to be as smart as he was, ( as if ). When I sometimes reflect upon my personal journey, I can see that DB and his father in law , Rocky Carlton, played a big role in my development as a human being. DB would be reluctant to admit that he was such a positive influence. But he was, and I will miss our conversations. I was lucky to have met him. Rest in peace DB.

It's hard to find the best words to write about DB. Plain & simply put, he was awesome. He was a wonderful person & could always make people laugh. He was the definition of a great Dad & I will never forget him. I really thought the world of him.

Working a summer with the County Highway Dept., and working with DB making and installing road signs. I remember listening to a cassette tape of Jimmy Martin singing “Run Pete Run” while snacking on sunflower seeds.
We had great days.......

So sorry to hear about Dennis. I met him when he and I worked together in the early 70's at Grandview Pharmacy. It was my first job and I was pretty nervous, but he had a way of making it fun. I remember him grabbing a broom and starting acting like it was a guitar. He always had a smile on his face and was so kind. After I left there I would run into him once and a while and he never changed still had that big smile. Prayers for all the family as I am sure he will be greatly missed. May all the good memories be a blessing to you.

I have so many fond memories of
Dennis.... DB.
We played sports constantly.. and we played all sports. In the front yard, back yard , in the street or at the park or the bowling alley. His competitiveness was 2nd to none.
My friend my Brother ❤🇺🇲
Love you buddy..

Dearest Denny,
There are very few memories that I have which are not connected to you. I was only seven years old when I first saw you jump over the fence to say “Hello”! A love story began. Not just between you and our sweet Melody. Our whole family fell in love with you. Thank you for being a great big brother, an advisor, and always for your love. I have been blessed to be your annoying little sister 💔

I graduated with Earl Rose, and I think we were 13 or 14, when Earl introduced me to DB, and that's where I heard Frank Zappa for the first time, life changer that was, I stayed friends with DB thru my years living in Columbia and Waltstock days. R.I.P. my friend, Go Browns 🏈
