Connersville resident, Everett W. Harris Jr., 67, died Monday, August 10, 2020 at Heritage House of Connersville.
Everett was born to Everett Harris Sr. and Loretta Delaney Harris Roszell on February 22, 1953 in Batesville, Indiana. He attended Fayette County Schools before pursuing a career in welding. Everett attended many churches in his community including Garrison Creek and First Baptist Church of Laurel. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially mushrooms. Everett will be remembered as a loving man, always willing to give you the shirt off of his back.
Everett is survived by his sons: Everett W. Harris III and wife Katina of Florida, Robert Harris and wife Chantell of Orange; daughter: Regina Gabbard of Connersville; mother: Loretta Delaney Harris Roszell of Connersville; brothers: Ronnie Harris and wife Glenna of Connersville; Charlie Roszell and wife Linda of Florida, Robert Roszell and wife Paula of Connersville; sisters: Juanita Faye Shipley and husband Randy, Becky Stewart, all of Connersville; sister-in-law: Carletta Harris of Connersville; numerous grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Everett is preceded in death by his father: Everett W. Harris Sr., step-father: Robert Roszell Sr.; son: Michael Ray Harris; daughter: Gladys Sizemore; brothers: Darrel Harris and Danny Roszell
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2020 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with John Jordan of First Baptist Church in Laurel officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11a.m. until time of the service. Interment will follow in Laurel North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of your choice.
