June A. Corum

June Ann Corum, 81, of Connersville, died June 12, 2018 at Reid Health, Richmond. A Connersville native, June was born March 4, 1937 to Alvin and Anna McCarty Laughlin and was a 1957 graduate of Connersville High School. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness and loved attending Kingdom Hall. June adored her grandchildren. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and utilizing her green thumb in the flower garden. June is survived by her husband, Lloyd D. Corum, who she married on February 26, 1982; her sons: James D. Frederick, Jr. and his wife, Jama K. of Brookville; John D. Frederick; her granddaughters: Amanda Lynn Anderson and her husband, Mark of Cambridge City; Amy Jo Shearer of Shelbyville; her great-grandchildren: Alivia Anderson, Lexie Ann Anderson, Adrianna Shearer and Mackenzie Shearer; her brother: William Laughlin and Margaret of Del City, Oklahoma; her sisters: Juanita “Shug” Wills of San Antonio, Texas and Cora Wright of Connersville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her brothers: Thomas, Edward, Alvin and Joe Laughlin; her sisters: Sarah Shelby, Susie Bargo and an infant sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.
