Mel was one of the most supportive, caring, and genuine people I know to this day. As a little girl I looked up to her. I used to talk to her about wanted to be a vet while sitting on the boat with her and my dad. She taught me many life lessons as a young girl. That I still remember today . One she always uses to tell me was to “never take anything for granted and live my life and strive to be the best person I can be” . To the family of Mel I’m dearly sorry and my prayers are with you and your family. She was an amazing person and so beautiful inside and out truly. She has me the young women I am today. And I’m so grateful to have meet and spent time with her. She was taken so soon.
