Pauline Parker, 95 of Liberty died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Fayette Regional Health System.
An Owsley County Kentucky native, Pauline was born January 12, 1923 to Ralph and Clara Brewer Wilson and graduated from Owsley County High School. For fifteen years, Pauline was employed in the food service department at Miami University, Oxford. On August 29, 1975, she married James R. “Russell” Parker, who died in 1997. Pauline enjoyed canning vegetables from her garden, including her famous pickles.
Pauline is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Fred and Deborah Marcum of Liberty, her brother and sister-in-law: Matt Wilson and Arthurine of Oxford, Ohio; her grandchildren and their spouses: Becky Brooks and Malcolm, Derrick Marcum and Becky, Kevin Marcum and Jennifer, Katie Shutters and Zack; her great-grandchildren: Morgan and Evan Brooks; Ella, Jack, Eli, Brooke, Ben and Jessica Marcum; Maren and Connor French; Nathan and Cami Shutters; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley York.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery, Connersville. Pauline was one of the sweetest ladies I knew, with also a very nice family, was her HHA for 2 1/2 yrs., really going to miss her, I do know that you are no longer in pain and heaven gained a sweet angel, so rest in peace my sweet lady,
