Yvonne M. Baker

March 15, 1959September 11, 2021

Ms. Yvonne Marie (Paddock) Baker, 62, a long term resident of Connersville, died on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Reid Health in Richmond after a brief illness.

Yvonne was born to Harold and Phyllis (Abernathy) Paddock on March 15, 1959 in Richmond, Indiana. Yvonne attended Liberty schools and was a graduate of Liberty High Schoolโ€™s class of 1977. Yvonne worked at Visteon for many years prior to obtaining employment with Colorbox in Richmond, where she spent the past thirteen years as a production assistant. She enjoyed going to concerts with her children and enjoyed relaxing at home while watching a good reality television show. It was not unusual to find Yvonne scouring the shelves of Goodwill and other thrift stores looking for hidden gems and bargains. She enjoyed crafting and holiday decorating. Christmas was a special time for Yvonne, she was known to completely transform her home into a winter wonderland in order to share the spirit of the holiday with her family and friends. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

Yvonne is survived by her mother Phyllis Paddock; one son, Jacob Baker (fiancรฉe Hannah Campbell) of Pershing; One daughter, Ashley (significant other Mike Cloud) of Dublin; Four brothers, Wayne Paddock, of Liberty, Everett (wife Lynda) Paddock of College Corner, David McQueen of Alabama, Herbert McQueen of Centerville and one sister, Ginger Dearth of Liberty; Six Grandchildren, Brooklyn, Devon, Hayden, Jacob Jr., Quentyn and Holden, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother Harold and Norma Paddock, her grandparents: John and Mary McMann, Lawrence and Glenna Paddock, Clinton Abernathy; brother Sammy McQueen and many friends and numerous aunts and uncles.

The family will receive visitors at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel in Connersville on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from noon until 4:00 p.m
