Austin Bullock lived his life in service of love. From the moment he was born September 26, 1994, the warmth and the reach of his heart was undeniable. It extended to strangers and friends and family alike without discretion. He was a licensed practical nurse who worked numerous hours in treatment of others. Every day, he strove to make those around him feel seen and appreciated. At the center of it all was his wife and soulmate, Emily, and their dogs, Phoebe and Phinboy. The first words to mind from longtime friends Luke – “Austin had the biggest heart. He was my best friend.” – and Wallace – “He loved people. When he cared for you, it meant everything.” – are perfect testaments to that love. But it didn’t stop there: in a state that is often colorblind to all but Razorback red, Austin was an unwavering, unapologetic Dolphins fan draped in aqua and orange. Where others fell for more glamorous characters, he kept faith in the stories of the Incredible Hulk. In a world too often divided, he sought to bring people together. He was a walking embodiment of the values of love, loyalty, and friendship, and he would smile through it all. We would all do well to put others before ourselves as he did. Tragically, the world lost his heart Tuesday, November 10, 2020 when Austin unexpectedly passed from this world. He is survived by his wife, Emily Bullock; brothers, Jeremy (Kari) Bullock and Jordan (Shelby) Bullock; father, Dan Bullock; and mother, Beth Bullock; grandmother Lois Smithart; niece Madelyn Bullock; nephew Brooks Bullock. He was predeceased by his grandfather Russell Smithart and best friend Jake Wooley

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday November 13, 2020 10 am to 12 pm at the Griffin Leggett Conway Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, where funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Burial at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Austin as a little boy when we would all gather and watch American Idol together. I remember how he would talk about meeting Carrie Underwood before she was on Idol. I remember going to watch him, Darren and Peyton play basketball. He was an awesome kid and I am sure he turned into an even more awesome man. Beth, my heart hurts for you and your family. Prayers to all of you.

Del toro,

Few people do you meet in this life that you have an instant friendship with. Ill miss the talks, recital of cheesy movie lines, and a friend that knows 90s grunge music as well as I. Ill never forget you, ill always cherish the countless hours with you, Wallace, and bottles. Until we meet again my friend. I love you like a brother...

I have several fond memories of Austin from high school. He always made you feel good and left you with a smile on your face. Whether it was from scrimmaging against the boys at basketball practice, cheering on the football team as the Jort Squad, or just going back and forth about the Dolphins and Patriots on a regular basis. He is someone I have always thought very highly of. Someone a lot of people strive to be like. His loyalty to his friends and his sports teams, his compassion for everyone he crossed paths with, Bullock was definitely something special. Whenever my son was born I had asked for some advice on which pediatrician to use. When Dr. Vinson was suggested to me by a friend, they also told me that Bullock was one of her nurses. That ultimately made the decision for me. At our first appointment with Dr. Vinson I asked about Austin but she had informed me who took another job just a few weeks before. I was disappointed I wouldn’t get to see him help take care of my little one, but even more disappointed that I didn’t reach out to him afterwards. My heart hurts for his closest friends and family. My prayers are with all of you everyday as you grieve the loss of such a great guy ❤️

Our deepest sympathies for your great loss. We did not know Austin as well as Jordan but we know Jordan was crazy about his little brother so we know that means he had to be a very special young man. We are praying for strength and comfort for you all.

Beth and family,
I remember Austin from middle school. He was a fun and vibrant soul! Later we reconnected in high school when he participated in all things “jort”... pep rallies, student section, games, always showing his Eagle spirit. I’m so thankful our paths crossed! He brought a spark to everyone around him. Love ya “twin” I will be praying for you, Jordan, and your family!
