I didn’t know lucky very well. We spoke to each other when I would go walking past his house. Last year about two weeks of his passing when I was walking past his house I notice a dime and penny on the road. I picked them up. When I got home my son notice the penny was my birth year 1973. I Have keep the coins .

Lucky and I have known each other for over 40 years. From the time he and his family moved down to lake Conway till his passing. He was a great patriot and loving father to his children. I will miss him. I like everyone down at Brannons moved away to another place but still have fond memories of him and that place. I do really feel sorry for the children and grand children he will be missed.

I lost my daddy then I lost you, my Pop. Rusty and I shared you with the world and so you became even more well known. Thousands knew you and you would tell everyone " Yep, I'm all over Facebook" and crack me up! When I was so distraught over my daddy's passing you told me "it's ok sweetheart you've still got me and you're my daughter in love, not in law." I will miss hearing " I love you the mostest, night night sweetheart." So rest in peace and love Pop until we're together again in Glory. Your Angel

It was a true honor to know Lucky in the last years of his life! He is a true American hero! As a fellow Marine I can say he was a Marine in every sense of the word. He was a man's man with a heart of Gold. I am blessed for being able to spend time smoking cigars, listening to his stories ( of all sorts ) and being around the spirit of a man who loved life! He was one of the best of the greatest generation! I know he is on guard protecting the gates of heaven dispatched by our lord personally! I love you Lucky for who you are and for how you lived life! You enjoyed a good long life, raised & loved an outstanding family and was blessed to get to enjoy them! May your fire always burn brightly. And thank you father for the privilege of knowing your faithful servant.
