July 29, 1928June 26, 2019

Our mother, Marian Frances Hogue Green passed away peacefully on June 26, 2019 at home in Princeton, Texas surrounded by her devoted family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Carroll Gene Green; her parents, Roy and Violet Hogue; her sisters Vivian Alice Fair and Mildred Lucille Welch; and her great-grand-daughter, Mallory Blankenship. She is survived by her 5 children, Sandra (Jimmy) Blankenship, Linda (Richard) Smith, Donna (Tony) McCabe, John (Donna) Green, and Dennis (Sharon Harris) Green; 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Our mother lived a very full and happy life. She was raised by two of the best parents with the best older sisters. She met and married the love of her life and was married for 35 years. Together they raised 5 grateful children who loved, honored and (most of the time) obeyed their parents. Her grandchildren loved and respected her, and always wanted to be in her presence. Her example of a Christlike life was to be admired with reverence. She continued to serve others throughout her long life, with strong hands and a joyful heart. No one enjoyed serving our Heavenly Father’s children more than our mother. We are quite sure she is continuing this act of love and service even now, as she has gone on to her next life.

Mother, we will miss you, we love you, we honor you, and we look forward to the day when we once again reunite as an eternal family. As you always taught us – “Families Are Forever” Grateful we are for our forever family.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 2045 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, Arkansas 72034. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Sandy, Linda, Donna, John, and Dennis, I’m so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know until I just saw this on Facebook. Your mom was the best and like a second mom to me when I was in high school. I always loved her and your whole family. I’ll always cherish the memories I have as will you. May she Rest In Peace and God comfort you at this time. Love to you all.

Marion was an Arkansas Treasure! The last time I saw her was in Walmart in Conway on June 19, 2017. Her 13-year-old cat, Smokey Joe, had picked up some fleas and she was looking for a remedy. I knew Marion through genealogy. Her volunteer work with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helped many people find their ancestors. I'll miss her.

I remember her as Granny Green! Our lives intersected in Arkansas when my parents lived there, and again when I lived in Florida near her daughter Linda, and again in Dallas. She was a great lady who raised a wonderful family and was dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ. She exuded love and was always so cheerful. Granny Green has a great posterity who can feel very proud to be her descendants!
