Martha JoAnn Cross

She was born in England, Arkansas on September, 14, 1946 to Samuel and Gertie Henderson. Preceded in death by parents Samuel Henderson and Gertie Henderson. Preceded in death by husband William “Bill” Everett Turnage.

She was survived by her siblings: Bobby Henderson (Carrie), Joyce Langley, and Jimmy Henderson.

She was survived by her husband Chris Cross, her six children, Rebecca Hilton (Jason), Tim Turnage (Michele), Trasea Trantham (Shane), Clint Turnage (Lindsay), Christopher Turnage (Joye), and Katherine Cross.

She is also leaving behind 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and expecting one great grandchild in June and one great, great grandchild in June.

Joann was a member and Pastor of Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church of God. She was a RN for many years in Conway, AR. Director of Nurses at Meadowlake, St. Andrews Place, and Salem Place Nursing homes during her 32 year career as a nurse.

She was well loved and will be missed by all of her family, friends, and the many loved ones that she has adopted throughout her life.

Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Conway on Wednesday, February 2nd from 10am to noon. Funeral service will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster.
