Lynne Grant Catterton

Lynne Catterton, age 77, of Covington, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 surrounded by her family after a short struggle with ovarian cancer. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 20th, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Rockdale Chapel. Private family memorial ceremony will be held at a later date.

She was born in Bostwick, GA to Marian & Herbert Grant. She attended school in Wilmington, NC prior to moving to Savannah, GA where she met and married the love of her life, O’Neill Catterton. After her retirement from Egleston Hospital for Children in Atlanta, Lynne served as Chief Financial Officer of Catterton Interiors, Inc. and loved working there with her husband and children. During her entire life, Lynne enjoyed volunteer work and helping others. Her interests included service on the boards of Rockdale Youth Soccer Association, Rockdale Medical Center Auxiliary and Rockdale Emergency Relief and the recruitment of Foster Parents for DFACS.

Lynne is survived by her husband, O’Neill Catterton, of Covington; children, Katherine & Keith Graham, of Rockmart, Sandra Fischer of Henderson, NV, Grant & Joby Catterton of Buckhead, Duane & Jeanene Catterton of Covington; sister, Wilma Hipps of Decatur, brother, Bill Grant of Conyers; grandchildren, Daniel Graham of Rockmart, Courtney Catterton of Athens, Chase Catterton of Rutledge and Lila, Libby & Elsie Catterton of Buckhead.
