Ruby Dorothy Earnest

Ruby Earnest , age 89, of Atlanta, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Horis A. Ward’s Rockdale Chapel with Rev. Pete Page officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.

Ruby is survived by her sons, Tommy (Diane) Earnest, Jr. Of Oxford, Danny (Robin) Earnest of Stockbridge, Joe (Wanda) Earnest of Jasper, David (Holly) Earnest of McDonough; daughter, Dorothy Whittle of Loganville; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Curtis of Rockmart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Tom Earnest, Sr. and her brother, Clifford McKenzie.

She was a member of People’s Baptist Church in McDonough.
