Sarah "Aunt Sarah" Lynn Portocarrero

Sarah “Aunt Sarah” Lynn Portocarrero, age 56, of Covington, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Horis A. Ward’s Rockdale Chapel with Rev. Bill Prince officiating.

Sarah was a news correspondent for The Covington News and will be remembered as a very compassionate person, a loving friend to many and a nature and animal lover.

She is survived and sorely missed by her husband of 18 years, Ken Portocarrero of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Daryl and Chris Kidd of McDonough; grandson, Christopher Kidd of McDonough; siblings, Lena “Beth” Johnson of CA, Edwin Johnson of Covington, John (Lisa) Johnson of Stockbridge and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Liz Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
