Alfreda Renee Brown

From an early age, Alfreda found joy in movement and competition, embracing sports with energy and determination. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing basketball and also participated in track and field and cross country—pursuits that reflected her drive and spirited approach to life.

Alfreda took pride in her work and was deeply committed to those around her. As a recovery specialist, she was known for being supportive to her employees and for the care she brought to her role—steady in responsibility, generous in attention, and respectful of the people she served and worked alongside.

Family remained at the center of Alfreda’s life. She loved spending time with her family and especially looked forward to shared celebrations, including holidays and birthdays, treasuring the togetherness found in those moments.

In quieter hours, Alfreda enjoyed puzzles and reading, including Archie and Jughead comics. Her faith was also important to her, and she loved reading her bible.

Alfreda will be remembered for her humor and the warmth of her laughter, for a free spirit that lifted the mood around her, and for a caring heart that made others feel seen and valued.

Alfreda is survived by her two children, Isaiah Burns and Iyanah Burns; her fiance Phillip; and her siblings, Fabian, Candy, Corrina, Shanice, Darrell Jr., Al, Carla, April, Shane, and Lori. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell Lee Sr and Mildred Brown, and her sisters, Nevalynn and Jasmine
