Bernaleen Mary Evans, 76, of Santan, passed away on April 7, 2026. She was born in Sacaton to Fred and Irene Perez. Bernaleen was a loving and devoted woman who cherished her family deeply. She loved her children, grandchildren, and truly any child she came across. She found joy in their presence and carried a playful, youthful spirit throughout her life.
Bernaleen was known as a wonderful cook, and her meals brought comfort and happiness to many. She treasured her recipes and kept them close to her heart, making them more special to those who enjoyed them. She also had a green thumb and took great pride in her gardening. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching television, especially old westerns, spiritual films, and children’s movies.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold Evans Sr.; her children, Tanya Allison, Harold Evans Jr., Kelen Evans, Kendra Evans, Gale Kiney, and Arden Evans; and many grandchildren who will carry on her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Irene Perez, and her siblings, Marjory, Sally, Gerald, and Sandra.
Bernaleen will be remembered for her warmth, her love for family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
