

Bobbie Amos Linton of Coolidge passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 82. Mr. Linton was born on January 4, 1944, in Florence to Amos and Pearl Linton. He was one of the youngest of six children. He grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence High School in 1962. Bob was an electrician by trade and most of his employment throughout his life was around his expertise in electrical. In his younger years, he was an amateur boxer, and he loved playing the drums. He also cherished his time of working cattle on John Wayne’s Ranch by Maricopa. He really was a cowboy at heart and favorite pastime had been watching old westerns, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Audie Murphy, and Randolph Scott.
In 1960, Bob met Marylyn Metcalf of Coolidge. They dated and were married October 19, 1962. They were together 54 ½ years before Marylyn passed away in 2017. Mr. Linton is survived by his two children, daughter Kristi (Roy) Lawrence and son Bobby Linton, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, his sister Linda Harville of Mesa and brother Glenn Linton of San Angelo, TX.
He is also preceded in death by his twin sister Barbara Nichols, brothers Kenneth Linton and Lonnie Linton as well as his parents Pearl Linton Mulkey and Amos Linton.
A celebration of life is being planned, date to be determined.
