Brian Keith Street

Brian “Bam” Street was born on September 4, 1970, in Coolidge, Arizona, to Cozyetta and Earl Street. Bam was the third eldest of seven children—six boys and one girl—born to this union. He entered eternal rest on September 9, 2026, in Sacaton, Arizona.

Bam received his education through the Coolidge Unified School District. An avid sports fan, Bam was born into a family of die-hard athletes. He proudly represented his hometown as a Coolidge Bear and was a member of the Coolidge High School basketball team during his high school years.

Bam was a lover of all foods, especially ice cream. One of the family’s favorite stories about him happened when he was about five years old. He attended an Independence Day celebration with family members where one free ice cream bar was distributed to each person. Loving ice cream as much as he did, Bam wandered away from the family without anyone noticing. He was located a short time later standing back in line, the remnants of his delicious treat still lingering all over his face, patiently waiting for another ice cream bar.

When asked if he had already received an ice cream bar, Bam politely answered, “No.” His innocent response brought a great deal of laughter among those handing out the treats. His picture was even taken and later displayed in the local newspaper for all to see. Even at five years old, Bam already knew what he loved!

Bam’s adult life afforded him the opportunity to serve in many different capacities and wear many hats. He worked at the Arizona Training Program in Coolidge, Gryphen of Chandler, the Water Shed in Coolidge, and Bubba’s Barbecue Pit in Casa Grande. Throughout his career, he dedicated his time to training and supervising individuals with disabilities.

Bam had many interests and loved making memories with those around him. He enjoyed playing dominoes, watching sports, barbecuing, doing yard work, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a special fondness for his step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who affectionately called him “Uncle Bubba.”

Bam was preceded in death by his parents, Cozyetta and Earl Street; his sister, Carla; and his brother, Roderick.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Renardo, David, Daniel, and Christopher Street; his life partner, Laura Carter; his stepchildren, LaShaunda, LaShell, Talisha, and Charles Ray Jr.; special brothers, Joe Rushing, Romeo Fields, Jr. and little brother Dyshaun Black; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Though Bam will be deeply missed, his laughter, kindness, love of family, and unforgettable personality will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him.

Rest peacefully, Bam. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts.
