Carlos was an avid fan of Elvis Presley, and enjoyed watching football games, especially his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife Lamberta, as well as working on cars for members of the community. He worked for Gila River Farms as the foreman for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lamberta, his children Teri and Fernando Gomez, Carlos Gomes III, Eddie, Vincent and Roseanne Baptisto, 25 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his siblings, Hilda Granados, Laurgo and Conrad Gomez, Linda Gil, Mauel and Roy Gomez, Joanne Villareal, Gracie and Jo Garcia, as well as many other family members.
He is preceded in death by three sons, Luis and Mario Gomez and Randall Baptisto, his mother Josephine Gomez and his stepfather Joe Garcia, his sister Antonia Salcido and a brother Christopher Gomez.
