Darin Rodger Manuel, age 42, a lifelong resident of Chandler, passed away on June 30, 2026, at Chandler Regional, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Darin was born on December 4, 1983, in Phoenix, to Dallas Manuel and Lanadine Allen.
Darin was a self-taught tattoo artist whose creativity extended far beyond his craft. He found joy in graffiti and pencil drawing, and his artistic spirit showed in the way he approached the things he loved—always with care, patience, and a steady attention to detail.
In the home, Darin was known as an amazing cook, and those who gathered around his table remember how much everyone loved his food. He also carried a deep appreciation for music, especially oldies and Michael Jackson; when he was young, he loved to dance just like Michael Jackson. His enthusiasm for the worlds of Dragon Ball Z and Star Wars brought him genuine happiness, and he especially cherished the seasons of Halloween and Christmas.
To those who knew him best, Darin will be remembered for the warmth he brought to family life. He was an awesome big brother and a good uncle to his nieces and nephews—present, attentive, and generous with his time. His humor and playful, goofy nature could lighten a room, yet he was also a compassionate and loving presence, a good listener, someone others could rely on, and a loyal friend.
Darin is survived by his son Marcos, his mom and dad; his sisters, Leah R. Manuel and Josephine Allen; and many nieces and nephews and his companion Kayla. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenzie Manuel Sr. and Patricia Banashley, and Roy C and Emmaline Allen, as well as 6 uncles and 2 aunts.
