Donald Lee Anderson, age 83, of Coolidge, AZ, left this world and went to be with the Lord Jesus on July 4, 2026. Don was born on January 22, 1943, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Floyd and Grace Anderson. Don graduated from Roosevelt High School and entered the U.S. Air Force. After a year of electronics training in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was stationed at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. There he met Darlene, whom he married in August of 1963. After four years in the military service, Don joined the Tucson, Arizona, Police Force and served the city for seven years while at the same time furthering his education at the University of Arizona. In 1972 he entered full-time Christian ministry and for the next 35 years he served God as an ordained minister of the Gospel.
Don had a fine baritone voice and loved singing, especially when accompanied by Darlene on the piano or organ. He enjoyed being involved in every part of his children’s lives, taking them on trips, attending their sports games, swimming, or playing board games at home. When grandchildren came along, he did the same with them. Don was a man of great kindness and gentleness, with a spontaneous sense of humor that delighted everyone.
Don was preceded in death by his brother John and his sister Wilma. He is survived by his children Teresa, Mark (spouse Jeanette), and Aaron, 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, with more on the way.
