LaToya was deeply devoted to her family. Her children were the center of her world, Frankie Baker, Leneigh Baker, Larieyha Baker, and Laneesa Baker and she took genuine pride in who they were and all they were becoming. She was the kind of mother who could be honest about the effort it took, but never about her commitment: no matter what, she showed up. Her family could count on her, and they knew they had in her a steady presence, a loyal supporter, and a constant encourager.
In every setting, LaToya carried herself with unmistakable confidence and strength. She met life head-on, bold and outspoken, spirited and full of energy, unafraid to be seen or heard. She brought laughter with her, and her humor and joy were often the spark in the room. She took pride in herself, in her appearance, and in standing firmly in who she was. Independent and hardworking, she faced challenges with resolve, and she lived with a fierce determination to make the most of each day. Beneath her strong exterior was a generous heart, loving, helpful, and steadfast in her care for the people she held close.
LaToya is survived by her children, Frankie Baker, Leneigh Baker, Larieyha Baker, and Laneesa Baker; her mother, Mary Jane and her father Jerry Collier; and her siblings, Rita Moreno, Noreen Moreno, Murphy Ray McKinney, Vanessa Collier, & Leah Collier.
