Loretta Jean Norris, 88, of Sweetwater Village, passed away peacefully at her home on September 7, 2025. Born in Santan on April 17, 1937, to Miles and Alice Terry, Loretta lived a life full of love, hard work, and devotion to her family and community.
Known as a mother to all, Loretta had a generous heart and always made sure to care for those in need. She enjoyed being outdoors, working diligently, and making chumuth—a testament to her dedication and spirit. A talented cook, she was known for feeding many with warmth and kindness. Loretta’s energy and love for staying busy kept her moving and active throughout her life. She was strong in her faith and cherished as the last of her siblings.
Loretta is survived by her son Terry Lucero, daughter Rondell Norris, son Webster Norris III, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Dorlinda James, son Trevor Norris, and her siblings.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, a legacy of love, strength, and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13th beginning at 7am at the Sacaton Assembly of God followed by burial in Sweetwater Cemetery.
