Marjorie Marrietta

Marjorie Grace Marrietta, 85, of Sacaton, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1939, in Sacaton to Frank and Grace Watson, Marjorie was deeply rooted in her community and family. She had a love for music, reading, and crossword puzzles, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially her morning cup of coffee. A talented cook and devoted grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her family and delighted in visits from her grandchildren.

In her younger years, Marjorie had a passion for volleyball, which remained her favorite sport throughout her life. Her warmth, resilience, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Fletcher Marrietta, Sieanna Marrietta, Simona Johns, Rodrick Marrietta and Marlo Marrietta, as well as many beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Marrietta Sr.; her children Simon Marrietta Jr., Victor Marrietta, Sheldon Marrietta, Gilbert Marrietta, Clayton Card Jr., Billy Marrietta, and Sheila Thomas; and her sister, Margaret Whitman.

A wake will be held, Friday, May 2nd, at 6pm at the District Three Multipurpose Building in Sacaton and graveside services the following morning beginning at 7am at Sacaton East Cemetery.
