Known to many simply as Mike, he lived a life full of purpose, compassion, and unwavering loyalty. Over the years, Mike wore many hats; he worked as a car salesman, served as a Public Information Officer for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, and even held the office of Mayor of Coolidge. No matter what the role, he brought dedication, integrity, and a warm presence that made a lasting impact on everyone he served.
After retiring, Mike embraced the simple pleasures he loved most: fishing, traveling, and spending time with his lifelong friend, Steve Hawkins. The two shared countless adventures, each trip marked by Mike’s humor and gentle spirit.
Mike was, in every sense, a big teddy bear, kind hearted, dependable, and always ready to lend a helping hand. After the passing of his mother, he stepped up to care for his sister, becoming her rock and constant source of strength. He was equally devoted to supporting his friend Steve and his family, especially during doctors’ appointments and difficult moments.
A devoted college football fan, Mike preferred the excitement and heart of the college game over professional leagues. He had a wicked sense of humor and a talent for playfully pushing buttons just to make others laugh.
Mike is survived by his sister, Shelley Minter; his nephew, Chuck (Brenda) Minter; his great-nephew, Robert Minter; and his best friend, Steve Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
At this time, no services are planned.
