

Peter Matthew Wanjohi, a kind-hearted and beloved young man, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 19. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, on October 4, 2006, to Charles K. and Maria R. Wanjohi, Peter was a resident of Tucson, Arizona.
From a young age, Peter loved to dance and was a great athlete. He played soccer from the age of 5 through high school, demonstrating an impeccable work ethic both on and off the field, as well as in the multiple jobs he held throughout his life. His passion for sports was evident in his support for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chelsea Football Club, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers from his home state. Recently, he had also grown to love the Wildcats as he was a student at the University of Arizona.
Peter was a loving young man who always put others before himself. His life was exemplified by his support, volunteering, and general acts of kindness towards others. With an infectious smile, Peter left a significant impact on everyone he encountered. Outgoing and social, he made friends everywhere he went.
He is survived by his parents, maternal grandmother and his paternal grandfather. Peter is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother.
Wake services will be held on Friday, November 7th beginning at 6:00pm at the District Four Multipurpose Building in Santan. A mass will be recited on Saturday, November 8th at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bapchule, followed by burial in Lower Santan Cemetery.
