William Samuel Kalka

William attended Sacaton Elementary and Sacaton Middle School, later earning his GED from Central Arizona College. He also received a degree from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Science in Audio Recording, a path that reflected both dedication and a steady creative drive. He loved making ill beats, finding meaning and expression in sound and rhythm.

A devoted Arizona sports fan, William brought energy and good humor to the moments he shared with others. At family get-togethers, he was known as the BINGO caller, adding laughter and warmth to the room. He was also an amazing cook who knew his way around the kitchen, offering comfort and care through the meals he prepared.

In his neighborhood, William was a dependable presence—often the “local taxi,” giving rides to those who needed help getting to their destinations. In quiet, practical ways, he showed up for people, offering support with generosity and an open heart.

William will be remembered as a wonderful caregiver with a sharp sense of humor. He loved to crack jokes and make others laugh, and he valued the time he spent with his homies, building bonds that brought joy and belonging to everyday life.

William is survived by his mother, his father, and his siblings Kimberly Isk, Patty Lassiter, and Chad Kalka, as well as 1 niece and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Roland Mackett Jr. and Alvin Fredericks.

A wake will be held at the District 3 Multipurpose Building in Sacaton on Friday, July 31st at 6pm. Services will be held the following morning beginning at 6am at the Sacaton Presbyterian Church in Sacaton, with burial to follow in Sacaton East Cemetery. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
