Allen Fay Ashbacher

Allen will be remembered for his faith and his love for his friends and family. The highlight of his week would be attending Family of Christ Church on Sundays where he enjoyed fellowship. He was a well-known ally of AA meetings where he supported his community.

Allen was a devoted father, calling his son Jeremy on the phone at the beginning and end of every day. Often, they would have sleepovers to watch TV and share meals together. His favorite TV shows were 'Gun Smoke' and 'Perry Mason'. He enjoyed spending the holidays with family and they have fond Thanksgiving and Christmas memories together. Allen will be remembered for his love for the Minnesota State Fair. One year he attended 6 out of 12 days in one season. His favorite fair food was corn on the cob.

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Florence Ashbacher; sister, Virginia; brother, Louis; and beloved pet rabbit, Ted.

Allen is survived by daughter, Jamie (Mike) Hildreth; son, Jeremy Ashbacher; grandchildren, Christopher, Alex, Lucy; siblings, Alice, his twin Arlin, Leslie; best friend, Joe Weinmann; and many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Allen's Life will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026 at Family Of Christ Lutheran Church (16345 Polk St NE, Ham Lake, MN) with visitation at 10:00 am followed by service at 11:00 am.

Allen will be laid to rest in his hometown of Waukon, Iowa at a later date.
