Arlene L. Johnson

age 92, of New Brighton, passed away on December 13, 2014. Longtime member & volunteer of Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Brighton. Arlene is survived by her husband of 62 years, Howard C. Johnson; daughters, Sharon Westerlund of Ham Lake & FL and Joan Spindler (Glen) of Blaine; son, Randy Johnson of Blaine; 7 grandchildren: Troy Westerlund, Wendy Parent, Jody Napoleon, Nicholas, Brent & Scott Spindler, and Dustin Johnson; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Johnson; many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Ballinger; three brothers: Howard, Dwight, & Myron Jensen; and her sister, Ardith Pederson.

A Funeral Service will be held to celebrate her life at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 18 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1900 7th St NW in New Brighton. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow at Morningside Memorial Gardens of Coon Rapids. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
