ADD A MEMORY
Rick & Jackie Juleen

December 4, 2019

Carol, Scott, Chris, Karen, Eric, my brother and I were close cousins when we were growing up. Carol's dad and my mother were brother and sister. We were at each other's house all the time.
I remember many fun times with the Greening family back then.
We all grew up and went our separate ways, but I'll always
remember those days and smile.

My wife and I are saddened by the loss of Carol. We have been out of touch with her for some time, but I will never forget her smile and her gentle ways.

Love you always Carol!

Biography

Carol Lee Frederickson was an expressive, optimistic, and kind individual. To everyone around her, she seemed to be almost always happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Carol, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile or a kind remark. And with just those simple gestures, she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Carol really mastered the art of treating others as you would want to be treated and had great fun in doing so.

Carol was easygoing and fun loving. She managed to lighten the mood wherever she was, she seemed to have a knack for bringing compromise and erasing tense situations. Carol was raised in Lexington, MN, her parents were Fred and Joyce Greening. She was the oldest of 5 children including Scott, Christine, Karen and Eric.

Carol and Gary were married in 1973 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, they were blessed with 3 children, Two daughters, Traci and Tanya and one son Thomas. They were also blessed with 7 Grandchildren, Alexander, Jesse, Seth, Cyrus, Layla, Dylan and Gordon and 3 great grandchildren, Harlee, Isabell and Jax. Carol had the ability to focus her attention on the present moment. If she was spending time with the kids, that’s where all of her attention was directed. Her compassionate side prevented her from being a strict disciplinarian. She could spend hours entertaining them with fun and creative play.

Carol enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. An “arts and crafts” type, Carol liked creating and making things. Her favorite pursuits were going to and collecting movies, she very much enjoyed reading and many different types of crafts. She was an excellent crochet artist and amazed people with the speed she could make everything from afghans to christmas stockings.

She loved to visit new and different places. She was fairly impulsive and willing to try anything once. She enjoyed going out to eat and loved many different foods, especially anything she did not have to cook. Favorite vacations included going on a cruise to the Bahamas, road tripping through South Dakota with her husband, and visiting her son in Florida. She was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. Some of Carol's favorites were her 2 dogs, Midnight and Bailey.

Carol passed away on November 30, 2019, she passed in her home. It was sudden and unexpected. She is survived by her husband Gary, Children, Traci (Brian M), Thomas(Carrie) and Tanya (Brian N), Grandchildren; Alexander (Vyctorya), Jesse(Trystan), Seth, Cyrus, Layla, Dylan and Gordon and her Great Grandchildren; Harlee, Isabell and Jax.       Carol brought joy to all of those around her. She never had a mean bone in her body. You could always count on her for a smile and a hug. She loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. Carol Lee Frederickson made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile and forever missed.
