Carol was born on January 20, 1941, in her paternal grandparents’ home, the oldest of 5 children, and spent most of her younger years in Wisconsin.
She loved creating arts and crafts throughout her life, and in her retired years opened a small, fun business with a good friend. She filled her later years with books, games, and relaxation.
Carol was preceded in death by husband of 62 yrs, Richard "Duke" Samuel Thompson; parents, Otto & Vera Phetteplace; brother, Jim Phetteplace; sister, April (Phetteplace) Lymer.
Carol is survived by children, Forrest Sr. (Mary) Thompson, Wade (Michelle) Thompson, Tawny (Mike Ekstrom) Thompson; grandchildren, Forrest Jr. (Dorothy) Thompson, Tyler (Sam) Thompson, Cody Thompson, Kyle Kari, Chelsea (Bruce) Wallace; great-grandson, Daniel, Henry, Tannis and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many precious friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26th at:
