Cherie is survived by her daughters, Jody (Jim) Goehringer, Wendy (Jim Thurmes) Salisbury; grandchildren, Jason Salisbury, Joshua Goehringer ( Jackie Bolz), Jared (Melanie) Goehringer, and Lj York; great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Salisbury; sister, Mary Lou Behling; and nephew, Steve Behling.
Cherie worked for many years at Cornelius in Anoka MN, then retired from CTC distribution center after 10 yrs. She was proud of all her grandkids and great grandkids. Cherie's favorite flower was a rose. Her husband would buy her roses every chance he got - he loved the smile he would get.
Cherie was also proud of the fact that Jody met her husband on a blind date she set up 32 years ago. Jim was thanking her for that when she was in the hospital and he got a BIG smile. Cherie was an awesome cook. She liked to cook especially holiday meals. She was also a cake decorator. She made all our birthday cakes and some in between. She also enjoyed times with neighbors and friends playing cards or eating out.
A memory shared by Wendy, "we wanted a dog so did mom but dad said no but we talked mom into it and she drove us. We bought the dog n hide it in our room. Went good for awhile but we got found out when dog started barking. Dad asked where came from and we all 3 stood there n said we didn’t know. We looked at each other n busted out laughing."
