Clementine grew up in Kettle River where her family had a farm, and she attended school. She quit school in 8th grade to help out on the family farm. But it was very important to her to earn her High School degree. So, after her children were grown, she went back to school and received her GED from Mounds View High School. She enjoyed her time on the family farm and had so many stories that she shared with us, but in 1951 she moved to Minneapolis where she started her long career with Sears Roebuck. While in Minneapolis she meet Lloyd Mielke and fell in Love.
On October 27, 1956, Clementine was joined in marriage to Lloyd Mielke. After they moved to Fridley, their union was blessed with the adoption of three children. Son Kevin and daughters Kay and Kari. Clementine loved spending time square dancing with the Hotfoot Stompers and traveling and camping with her family. She also enjoyed working in her beautiful flower gardens along with enjoying watching her love of cardinals.
