Dale was born on May 1st, 1959 in Minneapolis, MN to Dennis and Lois Rogers. Dale lived a life full of adventure, generosity, and joy. He was a lifelong fan of the Vikings and the Twins, cheering them on through thick and thin—even witnessing the thrill of a World Series win. But his greatest passion was spending time with the people he loved.
He was married to the love of his life, Michelle Rogers. They were true soulmates, always saying, “It’s just you and me, babe—what would we do without each other?” Their love was the foundation of a life filled with laughter, devotion, and unforgettable memories.
Dale was a loving father to his three daughters, a constant presence in their lives. He always showed up for them with pride and support. No one could ever live up to the father he was—he would do anything for his girls, and they knew it every single day.
As a papa to four adoring grandchildren, Dale was pure magic. He would drop everything to take them on adventures—exploring Springbrook Nature Center, visiting Como Zoo, splashing at water parks, camping, snow tubing, ice skating, and hosting sleepovers. His love was boundless, and his joy in their laughter was unmistakable.
Every summer, Dale could be found camping with family and friends, sharing stories around bonfires, taking celebration shots, and making memories that will last a lifetime. He was the heart of every gathering—whether it was a backyard bbq, a cruise/vegas trip with friends, a train ride to Chicago, or a family trip to Disney World. Dale didn’t just attend celebrations—he built them.
He was incredibly proud of his work constructing stages for concert halls, theaters, and stadiums, and he brought that same creative energy home. Dale built carnival games for the kids and hosted an annual family carnival that became a cherished tradition. His craftsmanship extended to helping friends and family with house projects. That’s just who he was—kind, generous, and always ready to help.
Dale was deeply devoted to his family. He opened his home to nieces and nephews, and was a constant source of love and support. His warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit touched everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Ann, Louis, Alice, and Edward; parents, Dennis and Lois; sisters, Debbie and Deanna; and mother-in-law, Theresa.
Dale is survived by the love of his life of 42 years, and wife of 33 years, Michelle Rogers; children, Heather (Nick) Selness, Amanda (Cory) Peickert, Emily Rogers (favorite future son-in-law, Dashaun); grandchildren, Abigail, Bentley, Josie, Parker, and Korra; siblings, David (Patty), Debbie, Denise (Scott), Dana, Donna (John), and Diane (Thomas); nieces and nephews, Bernadette, Carey, Billy, Justin, Brent, Andrew, Brandon, Josh, Jordan, Kayla, Amber, Brittany; numerous great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, cousins, and friends.
