Darrin Jon May, age 41, a devoted husband and faithful father, entered into eternal life on July 10, 2026, following a heroic battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his children and held in the loving arms of his wife.
Throughout his immense suffering, Darrin led his family closer to our Lord, and he was deeply loved all the way into his eternal rest.
Born on April 3, 1985, in Cambridge, Minnesota, Darrin was the cherished son of Gregory and Melanie May. He grew up in North Branch, MN with his younger brother Nathan where his passion for golf was instilled along with life long skills that would assist him in providing for his family later in life.
The absolute center of Darrin’s world was his family. He met his bride, Jennifer, in 2007, and they were united in Holy Matrimony at The Church of the Epiphany on August 28, 2009. Over 16 wonderful years of marriage, they intentionally built a joyful, bustling home centered on Christ. Darrin cherished fatherhood above all else, adoring his eight children and pouring his heart into raising them. Whether he was cheering at sporting games, attending dance recitals and drama performances, guiding them through church activities, or deeply investing in the children’s homeschooling, Darrin was a constantly present hands on father who taught his children not only the importance of a good golf swing, but the power of family prayer. This beautiful foundation became their anchor over the past two years. As Darrin fought his battle with cancer, he and Jennifer relied heavily on each other, modeling for their children a profound, sacrificial love that mirrored Darrin’s unwavering devotion to his family.
Darrin will be deeply missed, but forever celebrated for his steadfast Catholic faith and his hopeful positivity. His infectious laugh could light up any room, and he possessed a truly unique ability to make friends feel like family.
He was preceded in passing by his grandfather, James Boyce.
Darrin is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his eight beautiful children: Kaylee, Mariah, Sienna, Elowyn, Vincent, Nora, Francesca, and Aurelia; his parents, Gregory and Melanie May; his in-laws, Stephen and Stefanie Gazich; and his grandparents, Betty Boyce Robbins, and Delbert and LaDonna May. He is also survived by his brother, Nathan (Shelli) May; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Erin), Matthew, and Jonathan; sisters-in-law, Kristen and Angela (Jonah); as well as many deeply loved nieces, nephews, Godchildren, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
