Eileen Joyce Thurman, Coon Rapids, Minnesota passed away at the age of 81, on October 5, 2019

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Hilmer and Olga Carlson; Husband, Larry Thurman; Sister, Stella Anderson; Brothers, Curtis, Raymond, Harold and Gene; Grandson, Gunner Nickolas.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by Son, Rory; Daughters, Michele (Daniel) DuRand, Erika Rae (Brent) Cameron; Grandchildren, Ashley, Cassianna, Chase, Hunter, Cole (Ify Marie), Benjamin, Alexander, Ellen.

Sister, Orpha (Carlson) Rustebakke; Brothers, Gary (Connie) Carlson, Larry (Uarda) Carlson; Sisters-in-law, Carol and Marlys; numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Eileen and Larry traveled the world together for 20 years during his career in the Air Force. They later settled down in Coon Rapids, Minnesota and raised their family. Eileen was a devoted Mother who always put faith and family first. She survived cancer for over a decade with unmatched grace and strength while living life to the fullest. With her family, she continuously added to her bucket list. Some of her highlights were a trip to Alaska with her Sister Orpha, Her and Larry’s 50th Wedding anniversary celebrated on a family cruise, WeFest with her kids, and a trip to Hawaii. The list goes on and on. She lived for her family and grandchildren. We will miss her incredibly, but her love and wisdom will live on.

~Visitation~ 10:00 am followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church 20 Northdale Blvd in Coon Rapids, MN)

~Private Family Internment~ Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Peace Lutheran Church and Make-a-Wish Foundation.
