Elaine had lived a full life. She met Robert, her husband, at Holden's Business Forms where they both worked and they were married for over 50 years. They moved to Blaine, MN in 1964 and she lived at their residence until she passed away.
They just had the one child, which they adopted from Korea in 1970, Dawn Marvin. Elaine stopped working to take care of her daughter. Elaine and Robert traveled to visit Aunt Corrine and Uncle Milo and also went to Branson and Florida. She went to London to meet her pen pal that she had been writing to since grade school.
She loved her 3 grandchildren, Nicolle, Joe, and Laura, and watched them while their mom and dad worked- she also loved to spoil them as most grandparents do. Elaine loved to play cards, especially solitaire, and always had a puzzle on the card table. Elaine was full of life, she reminded her daughter of the Energizer Bunny, because she just kept on going. She could run circles around anyone. Elaine loved her family and friends and got along with anybody she was in contact with- she was an angel! She had coffee with her neighbors every morning to catch up on gossip. Elaine loved her sweets; she definitely had a sweet tooth.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Robert Erickson; parents, Louie and Elizabeth VonSpreecken; sister, Delores Davis; and brothers, Donald, Gordon, Ronald, and Richard VonSpreecken.
Elaine is dearly missed by daughter, Dawn (John) Marvin; grandchildren; Nicolle Manske, Joseph (Kayla) Manske, LauraJean (Haak) Matthewman; great-grandchildren, Jaymin, McKenzie, Abby, Jackson, Natalie, and Camden; and many nieces and nephews.
