Elizabeth "Betty" Ross

Betty moved to Waukegan, IL when she was 16, and met Robert shortly after. They were married June 18, 1948 and lived in Zion and Winthrop Harbor, IL until they retired in 1987. In June of 1988 they moved to Circle Pines, MN to be closer to family.

She was very involved in Child Evangelism, and loved to teach the little children about Jesus. She held bible clubs, welcomed new neighbors, and witnessed to all who would listen. She had a strong faith in God, which guided her life. She will be deeply missed.

Betty is preceded by her sisters, Helvi, Rouni, and Ruthie; brothers, Levi and Laurie; parents, Lars and Hannah.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Robert; daughter, Karen (Mark) Childs of Ham Lake, MN; twin sons, Mike (Pam) Ross of Zion, IL, and Marty Ross of Beach Park, IL; brother, Pete Aaltonen of Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Erinne (Kyle) Lehman of Franksville, WI, Lisa (Mike) VonWald of Ham Lake, MN, Ryan (Meghan) Childs of Blaine, MN; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Dylan, Bode, and another grandson arriving soon; and extended family and friends.

Join us to celebrate Betty's life on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022. Visitation 10-11 am, service at 11 am, and luncheon to follow. Burial at Morningside Memorial Gardens will take place at 1:45 pm.
