Preceded in death by parents, John and Caroline; brothers, Frank, Merlin and Wilbur; sister, Joanne.
Survived by loving wife of 69 years, Melva; children, Lon (Colleen), Laura, Rev. Lee, and Brian (Cheryl); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jonathan (Kelli), Jenna, John (Cynthia), Tristan (Cynthia) Abbie (Sam), Alan (Alysia) and Sada; great-grandchildren, Noah and Allistair; brothers, Harold (June) and Duane (Jo); sister, Gertrude (Lyle); special niece, Bonnie Greene; good friend, Lucille Sicheneder.Funeral 11 am Friday, October 26, 2012, St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington Street NE, Columbia Heights. Visitation at the church Thursday from 6-8 pm and also one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to the church.
