Jeff, Cindy and family, so sorry to here about Aunt Gert. It hasn’t been easy for you the last few years that’s for sure. It’s hard to lose your parents, but as time goes by your memories will grow ever stronger.
Loved going to family reunions at your mom and dads place. All the laughs, water fights between the elders and us youngsters at grandma and grandpas. What fun we had.
What I’ll always remember and will be forever grateful is Aunt Gert made the flower girl dresses for my wedding 50 years ago this August. My husband was in the Navy and going to be shipped to Vietnam, we had 1 week to pull our wedding together. She stepped up and helped me out in a time of need.
Love to you all, Charleen

Dear Jeff and Cindy, it is with such sadness I send this message. I am so sorry for your loss. I thank you for being able to see all the pictures. I have such fond memories of your mom. Aunt Gert was always smiling and laughing. And seeing the pictures of my dad was so nice. I miss you guys and all the family. I always brag to my family and friends about what a wonderful family I have in the Hammer family. I only regret that i can't see you more often. If you guys ever want to take a vacation to Colorado you WILL stay here with us. We have a private guestroom and bath for you. We live at the base of the Rocky Mountains and it is very pretty here. I want to plan a trip back there with our kids, but it gets crazy trying to get a mutual time picked. We brought our son into our plumbing business so he can get off anytime but our daughter works and its not so easy for her to get off that long. But if Joe and I can get up there we will let you know.
Again I am so sorry for your loss, but I know you will find comfort in your many, wonderful memories.
BIG hugs and kisses to you guys and all,
Your cousin Debbie
