Preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Hannah Hanson; husband, Ellsworth “Pete” Johnson; grandson, Bradley Sroga; siblings, Henry, Thelma, Palmer, Harold, Stanley, Milton, Eddie, Norman, Helen, Juna, Nina and Mildred.

Survived by her children, Rodney (Linda) Johnson, Carol (Ron) Sroga, Dennis (Doris) Johnson, Susan (John) Kvidera; grandchildren, Jennifer (Barry), Janette (Kerry), Robert, Brian (Cyndi), Ryan (Megan), Shane, Emily (Jake), Tia; great-grandchildren, Cody, Aiden, Shelby, Austin, Maddie, Kayli, Ellie, Landan, Ben, Alyson, Sara, Peyton, Oliver, Waylon; sister-in-law, Delores Peterson. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Ila enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, playing cards, volunteering and embroidering. Ila had a deep faith and enjoyed bible study.

Funeral Service 11:00 am Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church (2848 County Road H2 – Mounds View)

Visitation 5pm – 7pm Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Gearhart Funeral Home (11275 Foley Blvd. NW., Coon Rapids) and from 10:00 am until time of service on Wednesday at church.

Interment Morningside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church.
